Being a new addition to the gel types, Gel Glitter may sounds difficult to apply full set or fill in but in fact it really isn’t so, with a few tricks here and there our manicurists can ensure that your nails will be done before you even know it.
The process generally includes 6 steps:
Step 1: File, shape and buff your nails.
Step 2: Apply a cuticle remover around the base of your nails. Use a cuticle stick to push back any skin off of your nail plate. Then use a cuticle trimmer to cut dead skin around cuticle. Remove any remaining oil or debris from your nails with a cotton ball that’s been dipped in acetone.
Step 3: Apply a very thin layer of your basecoat to your nails. In this step, you will not have the gel on your fingers. Cure your base coat underneath the UV light for 45 seconds.
Step 4: Once your base layer has cured completely, apply one coat of gel color. We use gel color to paint over the edge tip of your nails. This will keep the gel from curling back off your nails. Cure each layer under a UV lamp for 45 seconds.
Step 5: Apply the top gel coat and glitter onto your nails. Then cure the gel polish under a UV light for 45 seconds.
Step 6: Remove the tacky layers and then finish the service.
